The platform generates a personalised packing list by considering the user's destination, travel itinerary, and personal preferences and provides recommendations for rental, styling, and purchasing options. Users also have the opportunity to hire a personal stylist for additional assistance. The project involves user research to identify travellers' pain points and requirements and design and develop a user-friendly interface for packing and styling. The primary goal is to create a stress-free and improved travel experience by offering a seamless solution for all clothing and accessory needs.

Busy professionals need a user-friendly mobile app that efficiently organises and optimises their travel planning process, resulting in wasted time, increased stress and missed opportunities. This target audience requires a comprehensive app to simplify travel arrangements, provide tailored recommendations, and enhance their overall travel planning experience.

We want to simplify travel planning for busy professionals through a seamless and efficient mobile app experience that provides personalised recommendations. Our goal is to alleviate the stress and uncertainty of packing by offering customised suggestions and ensuring a hassle-free process.

My Role


I was this project's UI/UX designer and entirely owned the IOS App design, ensuring its successful completion. My role encompassed the entire design process, from conceptualisation to final delivery.

To gain deeper insights into the needs and frustrations of frequent travellers, we conducted user interviews with fashionable and busy business people who travel at least six times a year. The discussions focused on understanding the purpose of their travel and the frustrations they encounter while on the go.

  1. What is the primary purpose of your frequent travels?

  2. Can you describe any specific frustrations or challenges you face while travelling?

  3. How do you typically approach packing for your trips?

  4. Are there any particular concerns or anxieties you have regarding packing?


Key Takeaways:

Based on the interviews, we found that most frequent travellers primarily engage in business or work-related travel. Packing emerged as a highly representative frustration and pain point among these individuals, with many expressing anxiety about overpacking or under-packing.

These valuable insights guided our decision-making process in prioritising critical features for the mobile app. By understanding our target audience's needs and pain points, we focused on developing features that would be most relevant and useful to them during their travels.

  • Concerning consulting a stylist for vacations, around 88.9% of people feel it is helpful. Although this could be convenient, some people are open to new ideas or see it as a status symbol.

  • People who don't think this service is essential feel very insecure about sharing their wardrobe details as they fear being judged or feel it is an invasion of their privacy. They would rather spend more money on travel.

  • To get the most out of the service, clients have certain expectations. These include receiving current styling tips, the convenience of door-to-door and online services, and affordable pricing. Meeting these expectations ensures clients feel their time and money are well spent.



Rental


The rental service flow includes marketing advertisements and creating awareness, followed by customer and approach consultations. A meeting is then set up with the customer, who pays the consultancy fees and chooses the rental service. The package is explained, and a discussion takes place to understand the customer's preferences. Finally, the customer visits the office to finalise the rental service.



Subscription


The process of subscribing begins with marketing efforts to create awareness about the service. Customers are then provided with personalised guidance and advice through consultation. The next step is to visit the office and pay consultation fees. Customers choose a subscription plan, which is explained in detail. A meeting is then scheduled to understand the customer's preferences, likes, and dislikes to ensure a personalised experience. This process is customer-centric and seamless, covering marketing, consultation, plan selection, and understanding customer preferences.
